My apologies for the lack of blog posts this week. Life has been super busy and left little time for posting! Today is my bff’s birthday, and this weekend will be sure to be filled with plenty of fun, fun, fun! I absolutely cannot wait. A good girl’s weekend is exactly what I need right about now!
I know usually I leave you with several fun links to bring in the weekend, however I only have one link to share this weekend – that’s how incredibly honest and blunt it was. Christina of Profresh Style shared why she was annoyed with blogs and their bloggers and I couldn’t help to agree with many of her points. Everyone wants to be a blogger (hey I am one so I get it), but not everyone wants to blog for the right reasons. I started this blog because I genuinely love, and have always loved fashion. The creative release and expression I feel from sharing that love on this blog is why I continue to write. But sometimes, I can’t help but feel like fashion blogging has turned into such a huge circus. Blogging celebrities, entire wardrobes of gifted clothing, head to toe J. Crew, and girls who NEVER wear flat shoes. I mean come on. Where’s the creativity, the inspiration, the authenticity? I love a good fashion blog and blogger just as much as the next gal, but I do admit sometimes it can get a bit fake and scripted.
Simply put, I blog because I love this ish. And the day that stops is the day I’ll stop blogging.
